Just a bit of Partisan Banter (and just plain being a bitter loser)

The President of The United States is the Commander in Chief of all branches of our military. He is the grand poobah, the 4 star generals daddy, the most powerful man in the world. He must have the respect of his soldiers...right? The video you are about to see is a montage of President George W. Bush addressing the United States Marine Corp for the last time, thanking them for their service and courage in Iraq and Afghanistan, and President Barack Obama greeting the United States Marine Corp for the first time with his plans for Iraq and the Middle East. Should the different greetings send us a message? Hell yes. We should be wary of a President that does not have the full support of the military. Our government is set up in such a way that the military has no ability to overthrow our elected leaders (a good thing)which makes their opinion strictly focused on the current administrations national security plans and procedures. If the guys doing the fighting are not, we might have a problem. The Left loves to scream and cry "Bring the troops home" and "Iraq was a lie" but it seems as it always has that the military knows better than the peanut gallery. It is evident in this video along with numerous other interviews, videos and polls (SEE: 2008 Army Times Presidential Poll) America needs to pay attention to the small details (which over half ignored when voting for Obama in November) and really think about the direction our country is being led . (Of course, if we get attacked, lose troops, go into a depression, have a massive earthquake, fish begin to die or the sky falls, it was "inherited from the previous administration." Translation: It's President Bush's fault.)

3 Steps to ressurrecting the Republican Party

1. Act like Republicans first; Conservatives Second. The voting public is caught up in popularity contests and reality television, not good, sound political reason. Republicans need to lay of the hard line social agenda, temporarily, and go back to the basics. Small government and individual responsibility come to mind. Focus on these two fundamentally Republican beliefs, convince the public of their value and watch the votes come rolling in. (A little inspiration ) Acting like Republicans first ensures that a conservative agenda, fiscal and social, can be achieved easily and with an agreeable voting public. Small government addresses welfare, wasteful spending and suppression of liberty. Individual Responsibility ends the blame game, the abortion debate and class warfare. Concentrate then conquer. 2. Speak the truth. As Republicans, we use reason and logic to guide our decisions not the overwhelming emotional standard used by Democrats. When confronted with a social issue which tugs at the heart strings or a fiscal reality that might anger some, we dance around the issues in an attempt not to offend. Stand tall, speak the truth. The truth will always win in the end. The Democrats have become the party of “yes, you can have it and we will find someone to pay for it.” Unlike the delusional mind of a liberal, a conservative should understand the greatness of the individual. People want to make it in this country, they want to succeed and thrive but the inspiration is lacking when handout after handout keeps them blinded by convenience. Tell them the truth. The truth might hurt but it will make them and you better. 3. Kick, Scream and Yell. The Democrats have control over ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, NPR, Hollywood and most newspapers and magazines. They consistently protest about everything from freeing Palestine (SEE: Lovely Liberal Protestors ) to saving the albino, long toothed bird moose (is that even real?). They scream for freedom of speech so long as it is their speech not descent ( SEE: Ignorant, brainwashed students ) and they are outspoken in their public speaking and indoctrination attempts. Republicans need to start kicking, screaming and yelling at every opportunity. When one of our elected officials is invited to debate on a news program, they need treat the interview like a hostile interrogation (which it will be from practically every left leaning news organization) and fight tooth and nail on every issue debated. The reason the Left is being heard is because they are louder. Be loud. In the arena of ideas liberals will always lose because sob stories and a historically failed ideologies are not ideas just pander. I am not recommending a protest on every street corner (most Republicans have responsibilities and cannot drop everything to protest bread sales) but a united front and, yes, if the issue is important enough (fighting FOCA, Omnibus, National Healthcare,) public protest, nationwide. The GOP needs to encourage the growth and recognition of new organizations that push Republican and Conservative ideas and solutions. We need new, fresh faces to help sell our ideas in order for future generations to appreciate and understand our ideology. Attack the liberal indoctrination that runs rampant in our education system beginning in grammar school and continuing through university. Support conservative writers, bloggers, websites, newspapers, magazines and radio shows. Support conservative Hollywood and ignore the pretty faces and tiny brains of the Hollywood "elite". Educate your neighbors and your friends and most importantly your children. Remind them that "Republican" and "Conservative" are not bad words. It is not wrong to be pro-life. It is not wrong to expect citizens to take responsibility for their own lives. It is not wrong to want government to stay out of your life, your business and your wallet. Kick and Scream and Yell. -Dirty

Gays in the mist: Why the Republican party should be a champion of gay marriage rights.

The Republican party, the party of small government and individual liberty, time and time again uses the definition of marriage debate as a rally cry for much of its constituency to join united for a cause. But ask yourself, is this the right party for such an opposition? The Conservative Right unequivocally opposes the ability for homosexual couples to be united in marriage under government, not God, government and this opposition has permeated the rank and file of the Republican party. Is the Republican party a haven for anti-gay marriage advocates? Yes. Should the Republican party hold such opinions about gay marriage? No. The Republican party has always been the protective barrier that stood between large, intrusive Federal government and the individual liberty of citizens. The party was founded on such principles and would do well to look to history as their guide on this hot topic.

There was a time when America was split over whether a certain group of people (African American slaves) deserved the same rights as other citizens. The Right is attempting to make the gay marriage issue about the "traditional definition of marriage" and that it is between one woman and one man as defined in the 1994 Defense of Marriage Act. The problem with this definition is that it is rooted in religion not in the US constitution or US law. Individual groups have the protected right to express their beliefs in a public forum and this right must be protected. Religious beliefs, while held by many American citizens, should not dictate the rights of other American citizens. When I hear someone on the right arguing for Federal legislation to define marriage, I have to pinch myself to make sure I am awake. When did the Republican party decide that the federal government had the right to deny an American citizen from marrying another? When did the Republican party decide federal legislation was an avenue worth taking for any cause what so ever? This issue is clouded in blind religious fervor. It is irrelevant whether gay marriage is forbidden by faith. No one is trying to force churches, synagogues or other houses of worship to marry homosexuals, only that the government, both federal and state, recognize and allow civil unions of gay couples. For those on the Right that might argue this topic as a state rights issue, recall, the South's view on slavery as a state rights issue and Abraham Lincolns realization that slavery (like preventing gay marriage) infringed on the individual liberty of US citizens. The constitution trumps the rights of both state and federal government to act against a citizen on such issues.

Remember, the constitution of the United States was founded on the principle that every member of the union was to have equal protection of their individual liberties and their pursuit of happiness. The founders created a document to build a strong government, but more so, a stronger right for the citizenry to be protected from the very same government. Forbidding gay marriage infringes on the individual liberty of American citizens and their personal pursuit of happiness. The American Right looks to prevent American citizens from pursing their protected right to follow their own path in life. Recall the famous words of Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis, "They: The makers of the Constitution: conferred, as against the government, the right to be let alone, the most comprehensive of rights and the right most valued by civilized men." Religion, while undoubtedly the most important of all institutions (in personal life), should not impede on the rights of others who do not believe the same and most importantly should not dictate the laws of the United States or the position of Federal or state governments.

The Gentle hand of Leviathan (or how you are going to get screwed by the Federal government)

Our new president addressed the nation Tuesday night with the lofty rhetoric and empty promises that won over millions of mindless lemmings on the campaign trail. The 52 minute speech focused on jobs, health care, energy, and the economy, how America (the American people) has ruined each and how the always benevolent and humble Federal government will fix the mistakes. Yet Barack himself stated that he was not a big government proponent in his speech Tuesday night. Did he not? Commenting on his sausage stuffed stimulus bill, he stated how fully he was behind the measure, "not because I believe in bigger government--- I don't," but because he believes in big government, he does. Still, it is clear that Barack is not being completely honest with us.

"No, don't say that, Barack is honest" begs the 20 year old college student who could not explain the difference in a tax credit and a tax refund, let alone a liar and an honest man.

"Give him a chance," screams the grey haired, spectacled MSNBC deadbeat who never should have left ESPN. (What will you do without G.W. to pick on?)

"Barack is for all of us and wants what is best for all of us" whines the unemployed, uneducated welfare recipient. (I am still not sure what "Barack is for all of us" means but I continue to hear it.)

President Obama does believe in big government. He believes that complete control will fix our problems and authority over the volatile masses. His intention is to slowly implement bills and programs needed for taking control by giving the federal government power over the very institutions and issues he addressed; the economy, health care, jobs and energy. Ask yourself, if the government has control over your money, your health care, your career and the energy you use to power your car and your home, what would stop them from dictating your personal life? "No driving on Thursday's, Tom." "You are starting to earn to much, Phillip." "That lump on your side, it's not that serious, Jane." "Trust us, we are the government and we are looking out for you." Will the disparity in health care end under Barack Obama's plan? Absolutely. Everyone will have below average medical care and bad teeth (see Great Britain). Will everyone will have a job with "equal" pay and place to call home? Yes! Everyone gets a one bedroom apartment to share with their 10 closest relatives! (see Soviet Russia) Energy. we don't need no stinking energy. We all get bicycles, yea! (see the PRC)

President Obama, take notice. The 46% of Americans that did not vote for you and appear to have at least a basic comprehension of the consitution and the function of the Federal government can decifer charm and your "eloquent" tone. We can hear the liberal double speak that got you elected and we hear the "tug at the heart strings" propoganda by which liberals are so well known. We understand that your intention is in fact "change", change we are all going to pay for, with our money and our liberty.

How the Democratic Party has failed Black America

Abraham Lincoln once remarked that regardless of an individuals opinion of a slave their position in society should be that of any other citizen.  Lincoln understood that the only way to ensure that a person or a people could be accepted into a citizenry, that differs so greatly from their own, was to ensure absolute equality.  The Democratic Party, the party of the Old South, the party of slavery, the party of pointy white hats and bright orange crosses would like America to believe that they are now the party of equality, but equality is not and should not be measured by result but rather opportunity.  Leftists espouse the many so called "social injustices" that a liberal democracy (liberal in the political philosophy sense not the Liberal movement) forces upon its citizens.  The whole freedom to live and pray free and work to your fullest potential without government interference or control is over rated it seems.  Lockean ideas of making property your own and creating something out of nothing is not empowering to the Democratic party, control is empowering, government control.  Property should be controlled by government, work, religion, freedom should be given by government, like Hobbes Leviathan, absolute control is necessary for "peace".  So, How has the Democratic Party failed Black America?  They have created a culture conditioned to depend on the federal government for their survival.  Welfare, Affirmative Action, Busing and social programs have not leveled the playing field but have ensured an artificial and false sense of equality.  Race should not play a role in equality nor should gender or religion.  Hard work and determination create equality, gone are the days of finger pointing and talk of oppression.  The only oppression occurring today is the oppression of liberty and individuality.

Inequality is ever present in our society but not the type of inequality that the Democratic party moans and groans about.  It strikes me as arrogant of the Democrats to assume that government can create fairness across the board.  I want to be able to dunk a basketball like Michael Jordan. Can government level that playing field?  I want to understand economics like Milton Friedman did. How about a little help Leviathan?  Does lowering the basket height and shackling the defenders so that I might dunk well make Michael Jordan and I equal at basketball or is it simply an artificial equality that keeps me where I am and tells me that I do not need to work hard to succeed?  These are the unfortunate consequences of large, hold your hand governments and their need for power over people.  I challenge Democrats to ask themselves; If there was no poor, no uneducated, no downtrodden, no helpless, would there be a Democratic party?  The answer is clear; NO!  It is not in the best interests of the Democratic party and its left wing ideology to have everyone succeed and get quality education.  Until the black communities unite and begin depending on themselves, not government, for equality and success, the Democratic party will continue to oppress minorities in order to control their vote and their lives.
